I used the Win 11 utility tool to remove as many Windows 11 elements as I could that were not relevant to me. Most are staying away but certain apps like Microsoft Store continue to reinstall themselves when Windows 11 installs updates. I don’t see this as really a failure of the tool itself but probably just a warning sign that Micro$oft has a stranglehold on certain parts of Windows that it doesn’t want users to exist without using. For now (at least) most software like Edge is staying removed (fingers crossed)…

Yeah this is a constant fight and one that will get worse as time goes on. The only way I see Microsoft ever shift or change course is if they lose enough marketshare that they no longer dominate the OS scene. I think it will be at least 5 years before something like that happens though.
