Discord: khaltek.: Hello, I recently downloaded WinUtil and followed a youtube guide to debloat my lpatop but am unhappy with the result and want to undo everything as several things have stopped functioning that I was unaware of. can anyone help me or show me how to do so?
This is the youtube guide I followed
Discord: codepanda: Clean install Windows /w a USB, it’s a one-way street
Discord: aakphoenix: if you want to undo the tweaks made only by WinUtil just rerun the winutil command.
Go to the ‘Tweaks’ tab and and click on ‘Get Installed Tweaks’ then at the bottom of the window there is a button called ‘Undo Selected Tweaks’.
Discord: aakphoenix: Be quite mindful in what tweaks you wish to undo.
Discord: aakphoenix: Ask the one mentioned before me you can al ways just do a fresh install of the OS
Discord: rux: You might also be able to restore components you’ve gotten rid of with WinUtil by using DISM. And always check the question mark (?) next to each tweak before you decide it’s what you want.
Some tweaks are under advanced tweaks for a reason. Keep in mind that always use some level of caution when doing anything that modifies core system components, like you can do with WinUtil.
Discord: reverieviee: Can you check if you have a restore point from before you ran the tweaks?
Discord: reverieviee: If you do you’d be able to go back. Also, I’d suggest from mixing multiple scripts to debloat/optimize windows as they can cause conflicts
Discord: reverieviee: Last resort is a clean install. You can use the Win11 Creator in winutil to create a stripped down version of Windows 11
