Discord: adimant: Are there any apps that are installed through the Install tab that are meant to be run through CLI/Windows terminal instead of as runnable programs? This is the second time I’ve encountered this bug (though I can’t for the life of me remember what the first one was bc I noticed it was bugged and then just “uninstalled” it again and got it from the official source so I could actually run the app.
This time I’m here so I can point out Ventoy in particular.
When I install it, it says it succeeded, but it’s not findable in the start menu or in the installed apps on my pc anywhere, and when I click “Show Installed Apps” it does show that it’s installed. I thought maybe it was downloaded as a CLI tool? So I just ran “ventoy” in powershell and it says it doesn’t recognize the command. I recall there was some message when I first installed it about environment variables, and maybe those gave it a different name and it is and CLI tool and I just have the wrong name for it, but idk.
Is this a bug or am I missing something? It is odd that it says “Installed Ventoy.ventoy”. I could probably just google it but I wanted to point out that this is rather counterintuitive compared to how the other “installed” apps run.
