Discord: Win11 Creator big file output

Discord: adimant: so, I just used the Win11 creator from the powershell app, and on the wiki it says it should output a 2-3GB file but the outputted iso is 11GB (2GB bigger than the original iso from MS’s site)

did I do smth wrong?
I did include the current drivers but I didn’t think that would bloat it that much

where do it say it should output a 2-3gb file

yeah i seen that after i messaged lol

Discord: adimant: (the original was 9 GB for some reason)

yeah thats a mistake

on older versions it used to be that size

Discord: adimant: oh
so 11 GB is normal?

with driver in it then yes i think so. when i do it its like 8gb or somthing like that

Discord: adimant: does it not remove the unnecessary versions from the total package anymore?

but i dont do drivers in it

not sure on the ins and outs but i think ms just keeps bloating it up so the iso size just keeps getting bigger and bigger

Discord: adimant: I see
no problems either way, I have plenty of space on my USB just wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing smth wrong

no. what i can do is ill do one just now and see what i get on this verson cause i have not done one since the creator was made

did u use the dev branch or the normal one?

Discord: adimant: the normal one

ok ill make one also did u use the v2 from ms or the normal one

Discord: adimant: ah no just double-checked and it’s just /win

Discord: adimant: a few days ago

Need to update that. 25h2 stock is like 7 GB in size and this can easily reach 10 GB when bundling drivers and injecting them.

Discord: adimant: is there any good reason to not include drivers in there? I don’t necessarily need them bc I have the necessary ones on a separate flash that I’ve been using to store other temp files for testing
