I recently installed Win11 on a new 1TB M2 drive. The PC already had Win 11 installed on a 500GB M2 drive. Once I got the 1TB install up and running I decided I’d like to use the 500GB for other purposes. When I checked the drive in Disk Management I see that the EFI System partition is still on the 500 GB drive. It’s working but I’m wondering if I’d be better off in the long run if everything was on the 1TB drive.
It doesn’t hurt anything, but my OCD doesn’t like my EFI being seperate so I move mine. Here is an article and video write up about moving EFI on Windows:
