Error code "windows cannot find C: users\xxx\Appdata\local\Microsoft\WindowsApp\wt.exe"

When I try to install Windows toolbox I get the Error code “windows cannot find C: users\xxx\Appdata\local\Microsoft\WindowsApp\wt.exe”.

I’ve turned off Malwarebytes and still get the same results. Any suggestions?

Hey, looks like you don’t have the Terminal installed. Install Windows Terminal and try again

The error likely occurs because older systems, typically Windows 10, do not have Windows Terminal (wt) installed by default.

Or use winget from an elevated PowerShell: winget install --id Microsoft.WindowsTerminal -e
