Hello,
Wanting to introduce myself as a normal user interested in using Winutil on a new HP EliteBook 8 G2a 16 inch Notebook Next Gen AI PC with Wolf Pro Security. Earlier today I did a quick Google search using the query: “Elitebook + forum.christitus.com” . . . Google answered back like this . . . “The Titus Tech Forums and Winutil tool are used to debloat and optimize Windows on HP EliteBooks, though community feedback indicates mixed results with potential stability issues. Users often report heating and system performance concerns, advising caution when using these tools on laptops” - This was before I mentioned the Wolf Security in this Elitebook. After mentioning the Wolf Security in a follow up, I got this back from Google: “Yes, there is extensive feedback regarding HP Wolf Pro Security across tech communities like the Titus Tech Forums and Reddit, and it absolutely introduces severe complications when attempting to use Windows optimization or debloating tools.” Hearing that made me want to come to this Forum and search “Elitebook” - and search the word “Wolf” – so I created a forum user account and did those searches but ended up with “No results found” -
I can still return this Elitebook (and get a simpler Windows laptop or desktop and use Winutil on it) because I’m within the 30 day period, but before I do return, I wanted to hear from anyone on the Forum who had had these negative experiences with Winutil on the Elitebook, with or without Wolf Security, or who could lead me to some threads that speak about it here on this forum, as I said my searches here ended up with “No results found” – Thank you for any input you might offer . . .
